The Casino – The Casino of the Twenty-First Century

When it comes to gambling, the Casino is the place to be. The casinos spend a lot of money on security measures to prevent cheating, theft, and scamming. A gambler will never be able to lose all the money they’ve spent, so they make sure to protect themselves. However, this does not mean that the Casino has a zero-tolerance policy. Rather, it just means that they don’t care if a person wins or loses.

While casinos have always been the game of the rich, the twenty-first century has made them even more selective. Instead of focusing on the general public, they focus their efforts on attracting high-rollers, who spend thousands of dollars each day. These people gamble in special rooms away from the main casino floor. Because of the high stakes, they receive lavish personal attention and comps. They also win more than the average player and have a much higher profit margin.

The latest survey shows that 24% of Americans visited a casino in the past year. The same percentage visited a casino in 1989, and 24% in 2008. Only a few years ago, two-thirds of adults had a graduate degree. In 2008, only two percent had some college credits or an associate’s degree. Nearly half of Americans had never attended college. This statistic is still high, but it’s not shocking considering that the American average is much lower.
