For example, bird and insect species in the Northern Hemisphere have shown earlier migration, potentially disrupting their reproductive cycles. Ecosystem conditions are also threatened by global warming. Coral reefs, which are important habitats for various marine species, are experiencing bleaching and death due to increasingly high sea temperatures. This reduces the complexity of ecosystems that depend on coral reefs and affects the species that live there. Declining fish populations and other marine organisms due to climate change can have serious impacts on the food chain and economic resources for coastal communities. In addition, global warming causes an increase in the frequency and intensity of natural disasters such as floods, droughts and tropical storms.
